Proper Selection of Hubcap Bottom Depth

Based on the hubcap diameter, measure the indentation in the wheel rim. Common hubcap indentation depths are 10 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm, or a flat bottom.

Guide

  1. Take a straight rod of round stock and cut it to the required hubcap diameter.

  2. Place the round stock evenly into the wheel rim.

  3. Measure the indentation with a caliper.

  4. Subtract the round stock diameter from the measured indentation value to get the hubcap bottom depth.
